The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of directions to respondents No. 1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of respondent No. 5.

The matter is being pending since August, 2023 and an adjournment is sought on every date. On the last date also, it was specifically stated that no further accommodation shall be given. 3.

I have gone through the contents of the petition and there are serious allegations levelled against the husband of the petitioner with regard to commercial quantity of narcotics being recovered from the house. 4.

The present petition is apparently a pressure tactic to save her husband from the criminal proceedings by levelling allegations against the PARUL 2024.01.16 17:42 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document respondents.

In light of the above, the present petition stands disposed of and there is no need to pass specific order for protection of the petitioners, however, at the same time, respondents No. 3 to 5 are directed to proceed strictly in accordance with law and ensure that the fundamental rights of the citizens are not violated.

It is made clear that filing or pendency of this petition or any order/direction passed in this petition shall not be an alibi or defence to the petitioners, in case, they are found involved in any illegal activity and the respondent-Authorities shall take appropriate action, in accordance with law.
