IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH

CRM-M-36300 of 2019 Date of Decision: 02.09.2019 Rimpy Kumar ....Petitioner

VERSUS

State of Punjab ....Respondent CORAM:- HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SURINDER GUPTA

Present:

Mr. Amrinderjit Singh Sandhu , Advocate for the petitioner.

Ms. Lakshaya, Advocate for Mr. Balraj, Advocate for the complainant ******* SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) The present petition has been filed under Section 438 Code of Criminal Procedure for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 129 dated 21.06.2019 registered for offences punishable under Sections 419, 420 read with Section 34 of Indian Penal Code, at Police Station Civil Lines, Bathinda, District Bathinda. Heard.

As per allegations in the FIR and result of investigation, petitioner is the main person, who prompted the complainant to buy a plot for `4,30,000/- from Neelam Rani. The deal was settled and a sum of `3 lakhs was paid but the lady introduced as Neelam Rani was later on found to be Simarjeet. When Neelam Rani was contacted, she categorically stated to the investigating officer that she never sold her plot to anyone. Keeping in view the allegations levelled against the petitioner, I find no reason to extend the benefit of anticipatory bail to him at this stage.

Dismissed.
