Jaswant Singh v. State Of Punjab And ANR
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT
CHANDIGARH CWP-30705-2018 (O & M) Date of decision: 16.01.2019 Jaswant Singh .... Petitioner V/s State of Punjab and anr.
...Respondent(s)
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAJAN GUPTA
Present:
Mr. Sunny Singla, Advocate, for the petitioner. ***** Rajan Gupta, J. (Oral) Petitioner has preferred this writ petition as he apprehends that he will not be considered for promotion as Principal as some part of his service is on ad hoc basis. According to him, a judgment has been delivered in CWP-26621-2013 on 10.11.2016 by this court in a case titled as 'Sukhminder Singh and others versus State of Punjab and another', Annexure P-4, wherein ad hoc service has also been counted for determining the eligibility.
This court is of the view that present petition is premature in nature in view of judgment in Sukhminder Singh's case (supra). Petition is, thus, dismissed at this stage with liberty to the petitioner to file afresh in case any cause of action accrues.
