IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA

AT CHANDIGARH CWP-30707-2018 Date of Decision : July 22, 2025 BALJINDER SINGH .....Petitioner

VERSUS

PUNJAB STATE GRAINS PROCUREMENT CO. LTD AND ORS .....Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ROHIT KAPOOR Present :

Ms. Amandeep Kaur, Advocate and Ms. Sonia G. Singh, Advocate for the petitioner.

Mr. T.S. Sidhu, Advocate for respondents No.1 and 2.

Mr. Ajay Pal Singh Saini, Advocate for respondent No.3.

Mr. Sarthak Soni, Advocate and Mr. Nishant Grover, Advocate for respondent No.4.

**** ROHIT KAPOOR, J. (Oral) 1.

The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for setting aside the appointments of private respondents, who have been appointed under the Backward Classes category, allegedly on the ground that the appointed candidates do not fulfil the requirement of 3 years' experience.

2.

Vide order dated 07.03.2024, a Coordinate Bench of this Court had directed respondents No.1 and 2 to produce the record with regard to the

CWP-30707-2018 -2experience certificate of the private respondents, to show whether they were eligible as per the advertisement or not.

3.

In deference of the order dated 07.03.2024, respondents No.1 and 2 have placed on record the experience certificate of the private respondents [Annexures R-3 and R-4]. Perusal of the same shows that the solitary argument raised by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the impugned appointments are required to be set aside, on the ground that the said private respondents do not fulfil the requirement of 3 years experience, is devoid of any merit.

4.

In view thereof, the instant petition must fail and is dismissed accordingly.
