IN THE HIGH COURT FOR THE STATES OF PUNJAB AND

HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH CWP No.5375 of 2017 Date of Decision.16.03.2017 Manoj Kumar .......Petitioner Vs Financial Commissioner Punjab and others ........Respondents

Present:

Mr. Deepak Verma, Advocate for the petitioner.

CORAM:HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE AMIT RAWAL -.- AMIT RAWAL J. (ORAL) The grievance of the petitioner is that against the ex parte proceedings initiated as outcome of filing of the application under Section 111 of the Punjab Land Revenue Act, the revision petition filed before the Financial Commissioner bearing ROR No.296 of 2015 accompanied by application for stay is pending, however, no order has been passed thereon. I am of the view that instead of pondering upon merits and demerits of the claim of the petitioner, I deem it appropriate to give direction to the Financial Commissioner to dispose of the revision petition pending before him as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. In the meantime, status quo as exists on today shall be maintained.
