Prayer in this writ petition filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to grant all the retiral benefits to the petitioner for the service rendered with respondent No.5 - Society from 1983 to 30.04.2022 including gratuity amount of Rs.11,66,318/- and outstanding salary of Rs.4,17,505/- deposit of Rs.21,110/- and security of Rs.10,000/- shown in the balance sheet as on 31.03.2022 of the Society from 1983-1989 and 1990 to 30.04.2022 along with 12% interest on delayed payment till the date of actual payment.

CWP No.20315 of 2024 (O&M) (Annexure P-12). He submits that at this stage, petitioner would be satisfied, if the said legal notice is decided by passing a speaking order within a time bound frame.

Mr. Surya Kumar, AAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondents No.1 to 4 and Mr. Harbans Lal Sharma, Advocate has accepted notice on behalf of respondents No.6 and 7 and have no objection to the innocuous prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the record of the case.

Without going into the merits of the case at this stage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.4 to decide legal notice dated 30.04.2024 (Annexure P-12), submitted by the petitioner expeditiously, by passing a speaking order, preferably within a period of 03 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
