VIKRAM AGGARWAL, J. (ORAL) The instant petition has been instituted under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of habeas corpus for releasing the daughter of the petitioner, who is alleged to have been detained by respondent No.4.

It has been brought to the notice of this Court that the daughter of the petitioner is in a live-in relationship with the son of respondent No.4 and they had instituted a protection petition (CRWP No.7358 of 2026), which has been disposed of by this Court with a direction to the Superintendent of Police, Ambala, to look into the representation submitted by the petitioners therein.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner being the father of the girl (detenue) is only desirous of meeting her once. 4.

Accordingly, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to the Superintendent of Police, Ambala (to be conveyed through the State of Haryana) to examine the matter and then decide as to whether it would be feasible to permit the petitioner to meet his daughter, keeping in view the issue as regards the life and liberty of the live-in couple.
