   Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, which was filed prior to filing of the petition under Section 9 of the Hindu Marriage Act and the same is pending in the Courts at Hoshiarpur. The applicant is a housewife and has no source of earning and as such, is dependent upon her parents, for all her needs. In the given circumstances, it is submitted that it is difficult for the applicant to defend the petition under Section 9 of the Hindu Marriage Act, pending at Phagwara, District Kapurthala, which is at a distance of 70 kilometres from the place of her residence, more particularly, while taking care of the minor child.
