Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for directing respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and her family members from the hands of respondent No.4, who is a police official and by misusing his post, is harassing the petitioner and her family by making frequent unusual visits to her house without any sufficient and valid cause and threatening the petitioner to implicate her and her family members in some false criminal case. It is further prayed to direct respondent No.2 to look into the representation, dated 26.07.2024, submitted by the petitioner and take action on the same in accordance with law.

After hearing learned counsel for the parties and going through the facts of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Bathinda, District Bathinda, to decide the representation (Annexure P-1) of the petitioner expeditiously in accordance with law preferably within one month from today.
