(Oral) Present contempt petition has been filed under Sections 11 and 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 read with Article 215 of the Constitution of India, for alleged disobedience of the order dated 11.12.2025 (Annexure P-1) passed by this Court in CWP No. 25955 of 2022. 2.

The relevant extract of the order dated 11.12.2025 (Annexure P-1) reads as under:- "5.

In the light of orders passed in Bala Singh (Supra), Nirmaljit Singh (supra) and Dheeraj Kumar (supra) as well as Rule 16.3 of PPR, the impugned orders are hereby set aside and the Appellate Authority is directed to pass fresh order in terms of Rule 16.3 of PPR. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on merit."

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the aforesaid order was passed on 11.12.2025 (Annexure P-1), however, till date ANKIT 2026.07.02 16:24 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document High Court, Chandigarh

COCP-2914-2026 (O&M) -2the Appellate Authority has not passed any fresh order in compliance of the aforesaid order, although no specific time frame was mentioned in the order. 4.

Mr. Rahul Gupta, AAG, Haryana, appears on behalf of the respondents-State, in pursuance of the advance copy of paper book having already been supplied to him and submits that the Department was in the process of filing an intra-court appeal, although no such appeal has been filed till date, but in any case, the Appellate Authority shall pass a fresh order in terms of the order dated 11.12.2025 (Annexure P-1), within a period of eight weeks from today.

Keeping in view the aforesaid stand taken by the learned counsel for the respondents, no further order is required to be passed and the present contempt petition stands disposed of, accordingly. 6.
