The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to count the service rendered as daily wage service for qualifying service for the purpose of pensionary/retiral benefits.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, inter alia, contends that case of the petitioner is squarely covered by Division Bench judgment dated 31.08.2010 (Annexure P-5) of this Court in Harbans Lal Vs. State of Punjab, CWP No.2371 of 2010.

CWP-19006-2024 this Court in Harbans Lal's case (supra), the respondents-authorities in the case of various officials have considered their claim and passed orders. He further asserts that appropriate authority would consider case of the petitioner in terms of judgment of Division Bench of this Court in Harbans Lal's case (supra) and pass an appropriate order within 3 months from today.
