The present appeal has been filed by the appellant-claimant against the dismissal of his claim petition No.622 of 2017 filed under Section 166 of Motor Vehicle Act vide Award dated 18.10.2019 passed by the learned Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Chandigarh. 2.
The matter pertains to the year 2021. On the last date of hearing i.e. on 20.02.2025, following order was passed by this Court:- "None has put in appearance on behalf of the appellants.
Registry is directed to inform learned counsel for the appellants about the date fixed.
Adjourned to 01.12.2025.
A photocopy of this order be placed on the file of other connected cases."

Today also none has put in appearance on behalf of the appellant.

A bare reading of the above facts shows that the appellant has exhibited an utterly casual attitude in their pursuit of the present AMIT KHANCHI 2025.12.02 16:53 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order
FAO-1344 of 2021 (O&M) -2litigation. It is to be appreciated that very valuable public time of the Court has been expended in affording opportunities to the appellant in the interest of justice. On the other hand, the appellant has adopted an utterly casual and careless approach. It is clear that neither the appellant nor his counsel is seriously interested in pursuing the present matter. Thus, this Court is left with no other option except to dismiss the same for nonprosecution. 5.
Ordered accordingly.
