(ORAL) The writ petition has become infructuous as the prayer sought is for holding of the bye elections for vacant posts of Sarpanch and Panches. There is already a code of conduct prevalent in the State of Punjab. The writ petition is disposed of as having become infructuous with liberty to revive the same after the State Assembly polls in Punjab are over, in case grievance survives.
