JUSTICE GURVINDER SINGH GILL Present:- Mr. Harsh Chopra, Advocate for the petitioner. ***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of direction to respondent No.4 not to unnecessarily harass and humiliate the petitioner by way of conducting illegal raids at her residence. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that complainant Baljit Kaur lodged FIR No.61 dated 12.5.2019 under Sections 304-B and 34 of Indian Penal Code at Police Station Maqsudan District Jalandhar in respect of death of her step daughter namely Hardeep Kaur, alleging therein that the accused i.e. Jaswinder Singh, husband of deceased, Jaswant Singh, brother-in-law of deceased and Amar Kaur, mother-in-law of deceased had been harassing her daughter in connection with their demands of dowry.

The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is the married sister-in-law of the deceased, whose marriage was solemnized in the year 2005, which was about a decade prior to the marriage of the deceased and that she is now being unnecessarily sought to be Pankaj Kakkar 2019.08.

( 2 ) CRM-M-36218-2019 (O&M) involved. It has further been submitted that the complainant in order to exercise undue pressure has been getting police raids conducted at the residence of the petitioner.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and without making any expression on merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar (Rural) to look into the matter and to decide the representation (Annexure P5), moved by petitioner, in accordance with law, at the earliest. Further, in case the petitioner is required to be associated in connection with any inquiry or any information is to be elicited from her, then a prior written notice be furnished to her and that unnecessary raids be not conducted at her residence and in any case not at odd hours.
