**** HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI , J. (ORAL) The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner claiming interest on the delayed release of the retiral benefits/salary. The petitioner retired from service on 31.08.2015. Learned counsel for the petitioner has drawn my attention to legal notice dated 11.04.2018 (Annexure P-3) sent to the respondents for the claim, which is being made by the petitioner in the present writ petition and submits that the petitioner will be satisfied if a time bound direction is given to the respondents to pass an appropriate order on the said legal notice dated 11.04.2018 (Annexure P-3). Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, I deem it appropriate to dispose of the present writ petition with a direction NARESH KUMAR 2018.12.10 16:32 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh
CWP-31066-2018 -2to the respondents to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law on the legal notice served by the petitioner seeking pending salary as well as leave encashment within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
In case any merit is found to the claim of the petitioner and the petitioner is found entitled for any monetary relief, the same should also be released to him within a next period of three months. The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
