(Oral) Petitioner seeks a writ in the nature of mandamus to direct respondent No.2 to re-issue the passport after carrying out necessary correction in the date of birth mentioned in the application for issuance of the passport of the petitioner.

Learned counsel appearing for UOI, at the outset, submits that in case, a petitioner submits a representation within two weeks from today, same shall be considered and a speaking order shall be passed thereon within two weeks thereafter by the concerned authority. In view of statement made by learned counsel for UOI, no further direction is necessary.
