CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE KRISHNA MURARI, CHIEF JUSTICE.

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ARUN PALLI, JUDGE.

Present:

Mr. Sunil Chadha, Senior Advocate-cum-Amicus Curiae, with Mr. Himanshu Jain, Advocate.

Mr. Kuldip Singh, Advocate, for the petitioner. Mr. Sharad Aggarwal, AAG, Haryana.

Mr. Ghulam Nabi Malik, Advocate, for respondent No. 2.

KRISHNA MURARI, C.J. (ORAL) This petition challenges notification dated 20.05.2014, constituting the Haryana Waqf Board (for short, 'the Board') and another notification dated 04.12.2015, substituting the names of certain members of the Board with other members.

Learned counsel appearing for respondent No. 2-Haryana Waqf Board, states that due to efflux of time, the term of the Board has come to an end and the constitution of the Board is to be carried out afresh by the State. He also points out that the information sought for by this Court, vide order dated 20.03.2017, was duly supplied and is on the record of the case.

PRASHANT KAPOOR 2019.08.29 09:20 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CWP-5731-2017 (O&M) Learned Assistant Advocate General, Haryana, has given an assurance that necessary steps for reconstitution of the Board will be taken expeditiously.

In view of the above facts, we are of the considered opinion that this petition has lost its efficacy due to efflux of time and is rendered infructuous. Accordingly the same stands disposed of as such. CM NO. 14853-CWP of 2017 Since the main petition itself has been disposed of, no orders are required to be passed in this application.
