The present petition has been filed for directing respondent No.2 for recommending the candidature of the petitioner for appointment to respondent No.1 along with all consequential benefits.

Learned counsel submits that the petitioner had applied for appointment to the post of Veterinary Surgeon, pursuant to Advertisement No.41/2022 dated 11.12.2022, whereby 383 posts had been advertised, out of which, 175 were for General Category and recommendations have been made qua 173, he being 2nd next in merit and claims for consideration against one of those said two vacant posts, with regard to which, a representation dated 11.06.2024, Annexure P-6, has been submitted by him, which has yet not evoked any response. He thus, at this stage, on instructions from the petitioner prays that a direction is given to the respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner by granting him an opportunity of hearing.
