Today, at the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer to issuance of a direction for protecting life and liberty of the petitioner as he apprehends threat to the same at the hands of the private respondents.

Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner, but without commenting anything as regards merits of the case or as regards veracity of averments made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.3 - Senior Superintendent of Police, Kapurthala to look into the matter and to get the representation dated 4.8.2024 (Annexure P-2) examined to the limited extent of alleged threat perception of the petitioner. In case, it is found that there is any gunine threat to the life and liberty of the petitioner, then necessary steps as may be warranted under law be taken Pankaj Kakkar 2024.08.12 16:58 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document
