Present petition has been filed by the petitioners, seeking issuance of direction to the official respondents, to protect their life and liberty from the hands of private respondents. 2.

Marriage between the petitioners was solemnized on 15.02.2024. It is evident that petitioners had earlier approached this Court by filing CRWP-1577-2024, which was disposed of by the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court, vide order dated 21.02.2024 (Annexure P-2). While disposing of the said petition, respondent No.2 therein - Senior Superintendent of Police, Rupnagar, was directed to consider the representation dated 15.02.2024 submitted by the petitioners and, in the event of any genuine threat perception, to take appropriate measures to safeguard their life and liberty. It was further directed to ensure that no harm was caused to the petitioners by forcibly taking them into custody LAVISHA 2026.07.01 17:29 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document PHHC, Chandigarh

CRWP-7581-2026 -2on the allegation that petitioner No.1 had been kidnapped, abducted or raped by petitioner No. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that, despite the aforesaid order, petitioners were again subjected to threats at the hands of respondent Nos.4 to 6, which led to a compromise being effected on 19.06.2026 at the concerned Police Station. It is, however, contended that notwithstanding the said compromise, private respondents have once again started threatening, harassing and intimidating the petitioners and are interfering with their peaceful matrimonial life. 4.

Having considered the submissions made on behalf of the petitioners, this Court does not find any ground to issue any fresh direction in the present writ petition. However, it is expected that directions issued by the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court, vide order dated 21.02.2024 passed in CRWP-1577-2024 (Annexure P-2) shall be complied with by the Senior Superintendent of Police, Rupnagar, in the true letter and spirit.
