Present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution, inter alia, for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to pay Rs.2 crore as compensation to the petitioner under Section 19(8)(b) of the Right to Information Act, 2005, on the premise that he could not be selected as Lecturer (College Cadre), HES-II (Group-B) Service in Haryana, due to non-providing of information under the RTI Act. 2.

At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, wishes to withdraw the present petition with liberty to take recourse to the alternate remedy available under law. 3.

Ordered accordingly.
