By virtue of instant petition preferred under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has sought issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to grant him benefit of 23 year advance promotional increments w.e.f. 14.09.1999 as per the principal policy under Finance Circulars 17/1990 dated 23.04.1990 amended from time to time, with consequential refixation of pay and retiral benefits and to release the arrears of revised pay and retiral benefits along with interest @ 12% p.a. 2.

At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner feels satisfied in case direction is issued to respondents to decide legal notice dated 15.01.2018 (Annexure P-5), which was duly served upon the respondent, within a stipulated period.

CWP No.3378 OF 2018 --2-- No.1-Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited/PSPCL, Patiala to look into the grievances unfolded by the petitioner in his legal notice dated 15.01.2018 (Annexure P-5) and take a conscious decision, in accordance with law, within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.

However, in case, the petitioner still feels aggrieved against any or the order passed by the concerned authority, he shall be at liberty to have recourse to the other remedies available to him as well as to approach this Court.
