RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for directing respondents No.1, 2 and 4 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and his family members at the instance of private respondent No.5 and her companions, as petitioner and his family members have been badly harassed and humiliated and forcibly dispossessed them from the ancestral house without following the proper procedure by respondent No.3 at the instance of his own mother, i.e. respondent No.5. It is further prayed to issue directions to official respondents to take appropriate action on representation, dated 30.07.2024, Annexure P-3 and protect the lives and liberty of the petitioner and his family members from the hands of private respondents.

It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that for redressal of his grievances he has already given representation to MEENU 2024.08.12 18:37 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document respondent No.2 but no action has been taken on the same till date.

CRWP-7727-2024 -2Notice of motion to respondents no.1 to 4-State only. On asking of the Court, Mr.Mr.Tarun Aggarwal, Sr.DAG, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents/State.

After hearing learned counsel for the parties and going through the facts of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur, Punjab, to decide the representation (Annexure P-3), dated 30.07.2024, of the petitioner expeditiously in accordance with law preferably within one month from today.
