Prayer in this writ petition filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to release pensionary benefits i.e. gratuity, leave encashment, GPF, etc. along with interest @ 9% on delayed payments of pensionary benefits. Further prayer has been made to issue direction to official respondents to decide representation dated 06.06.2024 (Annexure P-2) filed by the petitioner. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner, at the very outset, confines his prayer for deciding representation dated 06.06.2024 (Annexure P-2). Ms. Saguna Arora, AAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3 whereas Mr. M.S. Batth, Advocate has accepted notice on behalf of respondents No.4 and 5 and have no objection to the innocuous prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the record of the case.

Without going into the merits of the case at this stage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.4 to decide representation dated 06.06.2024 (Annexure P-2), submitted by the petitioner expeditiously, by passing a speaking order, preferably within a period of 03 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
