AJAY KUMAR MITTAL, J. (ORAL) Petitioner has approached this Court through Public Interest Litigation under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of prohibition restraining respondents No.2 and 3 from diverting drinking water meant for residents of U.T. Chandigarh to any non-drinking purpose i.e. to fill the Sukhna Lake and for directing the respondents to evolve other appropriate source for the purpose of filling the Sukhna Lake.

During the course of hearing, various queries were put to learned counsel for the petitioner with regard to the material on record to substantiate the matter.

Faced with this situation, learned counsel for the petitioner prayed that he may be allowed to withdraw this writ petition with liberty to Ravinder Singh 2017.02.07 11:55 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document
