A letter has been received by circular, whereby, the Bar has suspended the work.

In compliance of order dated 18.08.2023, the petitioners as well as respondents No. 4 & 5 are present in Court and have stated that there is no threat perception.

On a specific query to respondents No. 4 & 5 qua the threat adduced by them, they have stated that they were told about the marriage by their children after the filing of the present petition. Meaning thereby, that at the time of filing the petition there was no threat perception. 4.

Approaching a Court of law merely only on apprehension needs to be curbed, as it takes precious time of the Court to deal with such matters and the State Exchequers are burdened heavily. 6.

Therefore, only as a deterrent, the petitioners are imposed with a cost of Rs.1,000/- to be deposited by the petitioners jointly within one month from today in the following account:- Account Name - Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association Lawyer's Family Welfare Fund.

In light of the above, the present petition stands disposed of. 8.

It is made clear that filing or pendency of this petition or any order/direction passed in this petition shall not be an alibi or defence to the petitioners, in case, they are found involved in any illegal activity and the respondent-Authorities shall take appropriate action, in accordance with law.
