The prayer made in the present petition is for directing the respondents to release the final payment of GPF alongwith all service benefits to the petitioner on account of death of her husband during service and further to pay interest @ 12% P.A. on delayed payment.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the husband of the petitioner was working as Class-IV with the respondent Department, who passed away on 27.02.2014 during service leaving behind the petitioner and two minor daughters. Learned counsel for the petitioner accepts the facts as stated in paragraph 6 of the short reply filed by way of affidavit of the Senior Medical Officer, Primary Health Centre, Ramdas, District Amritsar, dated 03.04.2024, that the documents that were required of the petitioner were finally submitted on DINESH 2025.02.13 22:16 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP-17963-2023 (O&M) - 222.03.2024 however stated that despite sanction having been granted on 26.03.2024, the payment of GPF has still not been released.
