Prayer in the instant petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of writ for directing the respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the lives and liberty of the petitioners, who apprehend threat to their lives at the hands of private respondents No.4 to 9 and not to harass or interfere in the peaceful lives of the petitioners. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners are in live-in-relationship and are being threatened with dire consequences by the private respondents. Resultantly, a representation dated 24.06.2026 (Annexure P-3) was also made to respondent No.2Superintendent of Police, Yamuna Nagar for protection of their lives and PRIYANKA THAKUR 2026.06.30 16:06 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRWP-7596-2026 -2liberty but in vain. Learned counsel submits that he would be satisfied if directions are issued to respondent No.2- Superintendent of Police, Yamuna Nagar to look into their representation and take appropriate steps at the earliest.

In view of above, petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2- Superintendent of Police, Yamuna Nagar to provide necessary protection to the petitioners after considering threat perception to their lives and to ensure that the lives and liberty of the petitioners is not jeopardized at the hands of the private respondents. 6.
