The present petition has been filed under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short-'BNSS') for quashing of FIR No. 0208 dated 18.12.2024 under Sections 3(5), 115(2), 117(2), 126(2) and 351(3) of BNS, 2023 registered at Police Station Machhroli District Jhajjar and all the subsequent proceedings arising out of the same qua the petitioners on the basis of affidavit and compromise both dated 23.06.2025 (Annexure P-2 and P-3). 2.

Ms. Ankita Ahuja, AAG, Haryana accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State. Learned State counsel states that no other FIR has been registered against the petitioners and they have no known criminal antecedents. 4.

Ms. Amarjeet Kaur, Advocate appears and accepts notice on behalf of respondent No.2. She has filed her Vakalatnama in the Court today and the same is taken on record. She confirms the factum of the compromise having been effected between the parties and states that respondent No. 2 has no objection to the quashing of the FIR in question. In that view of the matter, even if this case is taken to its logical conclusion, it would only be an exercise in futility as the parties have already settled their differences. Therefore, no purpose would be served in wasting the time and resources of the State in pursuing this case to its pre-ordained end. It would, therefore, be better to give a quietus to the issue at this stage. 6.

Accordingly, the petition is allowed and FIR No. 0208 dated 18.12.2024 under Sections 3(5), 115(2), 117(2), 126(2) and 351(3) of BNS, 2023 registered at Police Station Machhroli District Jhajjar and all the subsequent proceedings arising out of the same qua the petitioners on the basis of affidavit and compromise both dated 23.06.2025 (Annexure P-2 and P-3) shall stand quashed qua the petitioners subject to payment of Rs.5,000/- as costs to be paid to the High Court Legal Services Committee. 7.
