Learned State counsel has filed short reply by way of affidavit of Sukhwinder Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police (City), District Ferozepur in Court today. The same be kept on record. Copy thereof has been furnished to learned counsel for the petitioner. Paragraph no.8 of the said short reply reads thus: '8.

That it is pertinent to mention here that the present petitioner has been provided with one gunman for his security on a temporary basis, till the time all the accused persons involved in this case are apprehended.'

Having perused the above short reply, especially paragraph no.8 thereof, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed for the present and, thus, he may be allowed to withdraw the petition in hand at this stage.
