Heard through video conferencing.

The learned counsel for the petitioner has contended that the petitioner had earlier filed a representation against the private respondents. However, no action was taken on the said representation dated 02.09.2020. The petitioner was compelled to approach this Court by filing CRWP No.7045 of 2020 which was disposed off vide order dated 10.09.2020 with a direction to the Senior Superintendent of Police, SAS Nagar, Mohali to look into and decide the representation dated 02.09.2020. The learned counsel for the petitioner would further contend that thereafter the petitioner and respondent No.4 solemnized their marriage. However, shortly thereafter, the respondent No.4 deserted the petitioner and now the private respondents are threatening the petitioner that if she does not give a divorce to respondent No.4 they would kill her.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would further contend that the petitioner apprehends danger to her life and liberty at the hands of the private respondents. The learned counsel for the petitioner would further contend that the petitioner has sent a representation dated 08.12.2020 PARKASH CHAND 2020.12.

CRWP No.10629 of 2020 -2- (Annexure P-5) to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Mohali (respondent No.2) and that at this stage the petitioner would be satisfied if respondent No.2 is directed to look into and decide her representation in accordance with law.

Notice of motion to the official respondents only. Since the matter is not being decided on merits, the service of the remaining respondents is dispensed with.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. V.G. Jauhar, Senior DAG, Punjab has joined the session through video conferencing and accepts notice on behalf of respondent Nos.1 to 3.

Learned State counsel states that the representation (Annexure P-5) has not been received in the office of respondent No.2. In view of the apprehension expressed by the petitioner, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose off the present petition with a direction to respondent No.2 to treat the present petition as a representation on behalf of the petitioner and to decide the same in accordance with law within a period of 15 days from the receipt of certified copy of this order.

Disposed off accordingly.
