(Oral) The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking change of category under which the petitioner wants her claim to be considered for appointment to the post of E.T.T. Teacher as advertised vide advertisement No.5/1-2020 dated 06.03.2020 (Annexure P/1). Learned counsel for the petitioner argues that though, the similar benefit of allowing the change in the category has already been extended to similar candidates but, the same benefit is being denied to the petitioner, which is arbitrary. Notice of motion.

Mr. Aayush Sarna, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State.

Learned State counsel on instructions received from Mr. Tirath, L.A. DPI, (SE) states that a public notice has been issued by the AARTI SHARMA 2020.12.21 16:14 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP No.21748 of 2020 -2respondents today, whereby, the candidates, who intend to change their category for consideration of their claim for selection/appointment for the post of E.T.T. have been given an opportunity to do so, in order to suitably amend their application form and the last date for exercising this option is 31.12.2020. Learned State counsel further submits that in case, the petitioner exercises her option for change of category between the said period by way of filing an appropriate application, the same will be considered and an appropriate decision will be taken on the same in accordance with law.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that keeping in view the statement given by the learned State counsel, the grievance of the petitioner as raised in the present petition stands redressed and he does not want to press the present writ petition any further and the same may be disposed of as such.
