In the present petition, the grievance of the petitioners is that though, they are entitled for the grant of benefit of pay scale as admissible to them under the statutory rules but the same is not being granted by the respondents to him.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the issue raised in the present petition has already been decided by this Court while passing order in CWP-15896-2023 titled as Saurabh Sharma and other vs. State of Punjab and another decided on 13.09.2024 along with other connected cases, which judgment has already attained finality hence, the petitioners are also entitled for the grant of relief as granted to the petitioners in Saurabh Sharma's case (supra).

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have already raised the said grievance in the representation dated 24.01.2025 (Annexure P-14), which is still pending consideration with the respondents
CWP-18975-2025 and the petitioners will be satisfied, at this stage, in case a direction is issued to the respondents to decide the same by passing an appropriate speaking order in a time bound manner.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. T.P.S. Chawla, Senior Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State and submits that in case, representation dated 24.01.2025 (Annexure P-14) has been received by the respondents and the same is still pending consideration with the authorities concerned, the same will be decided by the respondents by passing an appropriate speaking order within a period of eight weeks from the date of the receipt of copy of this order. In case, it is found feasible to accept the claim of the petitioners, the same will be accepted, otherwise due reasons for not accepting the claim of the petitioners will be mentioned in the speaking order so passed which order will be conveyed to the petitioners for their information and necessary action. 6.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that keeping in view the statement of learned counsel for the respondents, the present petition may kindly be disposed of having been not pressed any further. 7.
Ordered accordingly.
