**** JAISHREE THAKUR, J. (ORAL) Learned counsel for the petitioners contends that legal notice dated 19.02.2017 (Annexure P-4) served upon the respondents is pending consideration for benefits to be granted to the petitioners in terms of LPA No. 589 of 2015 titled State of Punjab and others vs. Kewal Singh, and other connected matters. At the present moment, a limited prayer is made by learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners that their notice dated 19.02.2017 (Annexure P-4) be decided as expeditiously as possible.
In view of the limited prayer made, without going into the merits of the case, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioners to file a fresh representation to the respondents within a period of two weeks along with the certified copy of this order, who in turn, on receipt of the said representation, are directed to decide the same by passing a speaking order in accordance with law within a period of four months thereafter.
