Petitioner No.1 claims that he belongs to scheduled caste and has been issued a caste certificate (Annexure P-2). Through the instant petition, he seeks a direction to the Deputy Commissioner and the SDM of UT Chandigarh to issue caste certificate to his minor children, who have been impleaded as petitioners 2 to 4. Without expression of any opinion regarding the maintainability of the petition, I am of the considered opinion that since petitioner No.1 has submitted a representation (Annexure P-7) to the Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh for issuance of caste certificate for his daughters on 26.9.2015, it will be expedient in the interest of justice to dispose of this petition with a direction that in case petitioner No.
1 files a fresh application for issuance of caste certificate, as mentioned herein above, within a period of 15 days, the said application will be considered within a period of one month after the submission of the said application. In case the petitioner is not held entitled for issuance of caste certificate to his minor children, the reason for denial of the same, would be communicated to petitioner No.1.
Disposed of as pre-mature.
