The petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking a direction to respondent No.2 to decide its legal notice dated 29.1.2017 (Annexure P-8) pertaining to grant of permit to ply light motor vehicle, having capacity of 30 passengers on Mohali- Rajpura route, as mentioned in the heading of the writ petition, as per the law laid down in M/S Vijayant Travels and Anr vs. State of Punjab and ors (CWP 15786 of 1999) decided on 20.12.2012.
Notice of motion. On asking of the court, notice has been accepted by Ms. Anu Pal, AAG, Punjab. Copy given. Without expression of any opinion on merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the State Transport Commissioner- respondent No.2 that the legal notice (Annexure P-8) of the petitioner will be considered by the said authority within a period of three months after the receipt of a certified copy of this order, in accordance with relevant rules and the judicial precedents, applicable to the subject matter, by passing a speaking order.
