Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners have challenged order dated 27.06.2022 (Annexure P-1), passed by the District Development and Panchayat Officer-cum-Assistant Collector, Ist Grade, Hisar, whereby ejectment has been ordered in the petition under Section 7 of the Punjab Village Common Lands (Regulation) Act, 1961, as applicable to the State of Haryana, filed against them by respondents no.4 to 6. It is further submitted that an application for stay was filed along with the appeal on 25.07.2022, however, same is not being decided and matter is now pending for 20.09.2022. Learned counsel further submits that petitioners undertake that arguments in the appeal itself would be addressed on 20.09.2022 but till the petitioners' application for stay is decided, they should not be evicted from the premises in question.

CWP-21286-2022 -2Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of this case, but without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction that the above said appeal filed by the petitioners be decided by the Collector, Hisar on 20.09.2022 itself and if not possible on the said date, in any case within 15 days thereafter, after affording due opportunity to the petitioners as well as other concerned parties. Till then status quo as on today regarding possession and further construction be maintained.
