(ORAL) Through this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. prayer has been made for quashing of order dated 08.08.2022 (Annexure P-11) passed by the Sessions Judge, Mansa, in case FIR No.81 dated 11.06.2020 registered under Section 379-B/411 IPC at Police Station City Budhlada, District Mansa, vide which bail bonds and surety bonds of the petitioner were cancelled and forfeited to the State and non-bailable warrants of arrest of the petitioner have been issued due to his nonappearance in the aforesaid case. Briefly stated, on 06.06.2020 at about 9.00 p.m.

when complainant Pankaj Kumar was going to his house and was talking on his mobile phone, petitioner along with his co-accused Harpreet Singh snatched his mobile phone. Petitioner was arrested on 11.06.2020. He was granted regular bail by the Additional Sessions Judge, Mansa, vide order dated 21.07.2020. However, petitioner remained absent on RAVINDER SINGH 2022.09.

-2CRM-M-42840 of 2022 08.08.2022 without intimation to the Court, which resulted into cancellation of his bail and forfeiture of bail/surety bonds to the State. No cogent reason has been given by the petitioner for his absence. In view of the above, this petition is dismissed. However, if the petitioner surrenders before the trial Court within ten days from today and files an application for regular bail, the trial Court will decide the same expeditiously in accordance with law.
