SANDEEP MOUDGIL, J (ORAL) The jurisdiction of this Court has been invoked under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of directions to respondent Nos.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of respondent Nos.4 and take appropriate action upon complaint dated 02.07.2025 (Annexure P.1). Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he will be satisfied in case direction be issued to respondent No.2 to look into complaint dated 02.07.2025 (Annexure P-1) and pass appropriate orders after granting opportunity of hearing to the petitioner within a time bound manner. Notice of motion.
Mr. J.S. Toor, APP, UT, Chandigarh accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State and assures the Court that the complaint dated 02.07.2025 (Annexure P-1) shall be looked into by a officer of higher rank not below the rank of DSP after providing an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner(s) and appropriate speaking order shall be passed within a period of four weeks from today.
In view of the statement made by learned State counsel, the present petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. A copy of such order be conveyed to the petitioners.
