AMIT RAWAL J. (Oral) The petitioners have filed the present writ petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a direction to the official respondents No.1 to 3 to protect their life and liberty from the hands of private respondents No.4 to 7.

The petitioners are stated to be minors and have solemnized marriage on 23.03.2017 against the wishes of their parents. Factum of marriage has been pleaded with reference to photographs (Annexure P-3). The petitioners have an apprehension at the hands of private respondent Nos.4 to 7 and in this regard, they have submitted a representation dated 24.03.2017 (Annexure P-4) to respondent No.2-The Senior Superintendent of Police, U.T.Chandigarh, but no action has been taken so far.
