This is second petition for grant of regular bail pending trial in a criminal case arising from FIR No. 297, dated 05.09.2019, registered under Section 22/61/85 of the Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, at Police Station Division No.5, District Ludhiana. The first application filed for grant of bail was dismissed on 01.10.2020, with the following order:

"The petitioner prays for grant of bail pending trial in a criminal case arising from FIR No.297, dated 5.9.2019, registered under Section 22 of the NDPS Act, at Police Station Division No.5, District Ludhiana. As per the case of the prosecution, the petitioner was allegedly apprehended with 2200 intoxicated tablets brandClovidol containing Tramadol Hydrochloride salt. The alleged recovery falls in the 'commercial category'.

Criminal Misc. No. M-42975 of 2020 reported presence of salt Tramadal Hydrochloride. In view of the provisions of Section 37 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, 1985, no ground to grant the concession of bail to the petitioner is made out. Hence, dismissed. However, learned Trial Court is requested to make sincere efforts to conclude the trial of the case as expeditiously as possible, after the normal functioning of the Court resume".

Learned counsel, for the petitioner,although made an attempt, however, failed to draw the attention of the Court to any change in the circumstances or fresh ground to grant bail to the petitioner. Hence, the petition is dismissed.
