!( ) This is applicant(appellants' appeal for modification of award dated 20.2.2014, whereby learned Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Kurukshetra has awarded a compensation amounting to Rs. 20,46,000/( in favour of the applicant(appellants on proof of the fact that the deceased Sukhdev Singh aged 46 years died in a motor vehicle accident caused on account of rash and negligent driving of truck bearing registration No. HR(37CT(2882 by respondent Yog Raj alias Shalu on 20.9.2012.
The only contention raised on behalf of the appellants is that compensation amounting Rs. One lac awarded for loss of love and affection is on the lower side. The contention, however, has not impressed me. Learned counsel has not been able to show how the compensation for loss of love and affection has to be quantified and NIRMAL KANT 2015.02.11 14:04 I am the author of this document high court chandigarh
how the compensation awarded by the learned Tribunal on that count is inadequate.
Dismissed.
