Petitioner has approached this Court invoking the provisions of Section 24(2) of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (for short "2013 Act"). It is prayed that acquisition in question has elapsed. However, we do not find any substance in the contention raised considering the fact that the notifications under Sections 4 and 6 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 were issued on 05.03.2010 (Annexure P-5) and 14.07.2010 (Annexure P-7), respectively and the award was announced SAVITA KADIAN 2018.10.09 11:35 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document High Court Chandigarh

CWP No.4136 of 2018 {2} thereafter. As the period of 05 years had not elapsed, therefore, applicability of Section 24(2) of 2013 Act, cannot be invoked. Writ petition is dismissed.
