The present petition has been filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS), seeking issuance of appropriate directions to respondent Nos. 2 to 4 not to harass the petitioner and his family members in connection with a civil dispute allegedly subsisting between the parties. It is alleged that since April, 2025, the petitioner has been repeatedly summoned to Police Station Bhawanigarh on the pretext of conducting a preliminary inquiry. Admittedly, however, the petitioner has not submitted any representation to respondent Nos. 2 and 3 regarding his grievance. 2.

At this stage, learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner undertakes to submit an appropriate representation to respondent Nos. 2 and 3 setting out the petitioner's grievances. In the event such representation is submitted, respondent Nos. 2 and 3 shall consider and decide the same by passing an appropriate speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of representation.
