This is a petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to extend the benefit of enhancement of retirement age from 58 to 60 years to the petitioner as per memo No. 34/1/2006-4GSI, dated 31.1.2006 and 21.4.2008 (Annexures P-1 and P-2, respectively). Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is a handicapped person and as per the policies dated 31.1.2006 (Annexure P-1) and dated 21.4.2008 (Annexure P-2), she be given extension in service being a physically disabled/challenged person. CWP No. 6896 of 2017 -2extension is to be concerned, she should have been retired on 30.9.2018. He further submits that since the relief claimed by the petitioner cannot be granted to her, therefore, the present petition becomes infructuous. Keeping in view the above, the present petition has become infructuous and is disposed of accordingly.
