***** ARUN MONGA, J. (Oral) Petitioner seeks issuance of a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus seeking direction to respondent Nos.1 to 3 for release of her wife from the illegal custody of respondent Nos.4 to 6.

Status report by way of affidavit of Yadwinder Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Sub Division), Guruharsahai, District Ferozepur has been tendered in Court during the course of hearing, which is taken on record. Paras 5 and 6 thereof reads:

"5.

That all the aforesaid facts goes to show that the wife of the petitioner with her own sweet will resides with Kamalpreet Singh son of Nirmal Singh and he has not forcibly detained her.

That on basis of the aforesaid statement and other relevant facts came into the light during the investigation by the answering deponent, a report no.405-PC dated 11.08.2023 has been prepared on the application no.764-CP-SPl dated 27.07.2023 filed by present petitioner and the allegations of the application were found to be false and the application has been filed accordingly as no legal action is required on the same in view of the facts stated supra. The true translated copy of the report is annexed as Annexure R-2/T."
