The present petition has been filed inter alia praying for protection of life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of private respondents.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has very fairly submitted that he is not in a position to comply with the order dated 21.08.2023, as the petitioner No. 1 does not has any proof of income and the counsel submits that the only document which the petitioner No. 1 has handed over to him is an account statement of State Bank of India. He further submits that, in fact, both the petitioners have lost their parents and respondent No. 4 is a family friend from whom there is a threat perception. 3.

Learned State counsel, on instructions, has submitted that in compliance of the order dated 21.08.2023, the authorities have tried to contact the petitioners and have also visited their address given in PARUL 2023.10.20 10:25 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

2023:PHHC:128400 CRWP-8141-2023 -2the petition but the petitioners are not residing at the said address and the Sarpanch had informed them that they both do not live in the said village and the mobile numbers are also not reachable. 4.

In light of the above, the present petition stands disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to approach the competent authorities, in case, any threat perception, as detailed in the present petition, arises again in future, which shall be looked into in accordance with law. 5.

It is made clear that filing or pendency of this petition or any order/direction passed in this petition shall not be an alibi or defence to the petitioners, in case, they are found involved in any illegal activity and the respondent-Authorities shall take appropriate action, in accordance with law.
