The instant application has been filed on behalf of the appellant seeking permission to place on record compromise deed dated 25.07.2025 (Annexure A-1) along with affidavit of respondent Kawalreet Kaur dated 25.07.2025 (Annexure A-2) as per which the parties have amicably resolved their issues and have decided to part ways. The application is supported by an affidavit of the appellant and accompanied by a formal compromise deed bearing signatures of both the parties i.e. appellant-
Didar Singh as well as respondent Kawalreet Kaur, who are present in person and have been identified by their respective counsel. 2.
In view of the reasons mentioned in the application, the same is allowed and compromise deed dated 25.07.2025 (Annexure A-1) along with affidavit of respondent Kawalreet Kaur dated 25.07.2025 (Annexure A-2) are taken on record.

As per the compromise deed, the parties have decided to part ways and the respondent has already received a lump-sum alimony amount to the tune of Rs.9 lakh. Out of the said Rs.9 lacs, an amount of 4.5 lakhs had been paid before the trial Court. Respondent Kawalreet Kaur, who is present in the Court and is accompanied by her brother Gursharan Singh, upon being briefly quizzed, admitted the factum of compromise and categorically stated that she had already received an amount of Rs.4.5 lakhs during the proceedings before the trial Court. She further stated that the remaining amount of Rs. 4.5 lakh by way of demand draft dated 11.07.2025, bearing No. 000683 drawn on HDFC Bank has been handed over to her in the Court today, which she has accepted. 4.
We are satisfied that the parties have amicably resolved their issues and have decided to part ways. As such, the main case i.e FAO-M-145 of 2013 is ordered to be taken up on Board today itself. FAO-M-145 of 2013 (Main Case) 5.
Having regard to the compromise effected amongst the parties, the appeal filed by Didar Singh (husband) is accepted, and the impugned judgment and decree are hereby set aside and the petition under Section 13 of the
Hindu Marriage Act is ordered to be decreed. Decree sheet be prepared accordingly. The parties are left to bear their own costs. 6.
