This petition has been filed under Section 528 BNSS (482 Cr.P.C.) for quashing/setting aside the impugned order dated 13.05.2026 (Annexure P-2) passed in case titled 'State vs. Angrej Singh' in FIR No. 0058 dated 18.03.2025 u/s 109, 351(2), 3(5) of BNS 2023 (Earlier Sections 307, 506, 34 of IPC 1860) and u/s 25 and 27 of Arms Act, 1959 registered at P.S. Sadar Tarn Taran, vide which the learned Addl. Sessions Judge, Tarn Taran has summoned the petitioner through non-bailable warrants with a further prayer to grant interim bail to the petitioner to join the trial in the aforesaid FIR.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was coming from Amritsar to Tarn Taran for attending the hearing of his case but on his way his car broke down which caused him delay of several hours to reach the Court. Consequently, he could not appear before the learned trial Court at the time of hearing of his case. As such, the learned trial Court has summoned the petitioner through non-bailable warrants. CRM-M-35369-2026 (O&M) impugned order be set aside.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Parneet Singh Pandher, A.A.G., Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State. 5.
I have heard the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and gone through the case file. 6.
In view of the prayer made by the petitioner, this Court does not find any legitimate ground to interfere in the impugned order dated 13.05.2026 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Tarn Taran. However, in case the petitioner surrenders before the trial Court within next 07 working days from today and moves an application for grant of regular bail, the same shall be considered and decided by the Court concerned within a period of three days.

The petition stands disposed of.
