**,(. % /0 The present writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for quashing the impugned order dated 04.05.2018 (Annexure P-3), whereby the original application filed by the petitioner was dismissed.
In the considered opinion of this Court, the writ petition is not liable to be entertained, solely on the ground of delay and laches. Same was filed on 08.11.2021, after a period of more than 3 years of the impugned order.
It is a settled principle that even a void order has to be challenged within a reasonable time. The extra-ordinary writ jurisdiction of this Court is not liable to be exercised for a person, who is negligent in pursuing his remedy.
In such circumstances, keeping in view the above, this Court is of the opinion that no case is made out to entertain the writ petition on account of delay and laches.
